How to Make a Sword Pattern Symmetrical

I created a simple tutorial on how to create a pattern for your sword using Adobe Illustrator. Instead of drawing out the whole sword, it is easier to make it symmetrical by just replicating one side.

Start off with drawing/tracing one side of the blade. Once finished, copy and paste it. Right click and go to Transform then to Reflect. Click OK and it will flip (yes, leave it on Vertical)! Align the two halves up. You will most likely have to tweak/adjust the points that connect. Don't worry if it doesn't match up with the original image you traced (they almost never do). That's it! Now just print it off and start crafting!
